Following a course of specialized care for Alzheimer's patients
• 14 women from the locality received 339 hours of training in an area considered as a source of new jobs. The mayor and councillor handed out diplomas
The courses of specialized care for Alzheimer's patients closed today. These courses were within the perwiew of the educational programmes of the Centro Municipal de Formación Profesional Ocupacional Jabalcuza, of Alhaurín de la Torre, which belongs to the Department of Employment, which is funded by the Ministry Employment of Andalusia and the European Social Fund. This workshop took 339 hours, and has trained local 14 women of the village. They will go on to work for voluntary professional practices in the Fundación La Esperanza.
This course goes far beyond the modules set out, because it is considered a training program that operates on new sources of employment, occupations and activities, setting up the prospect of great future employment, especially for women. In this regard, the mayor, Joaquín Villanova, during the ceremony alongside the councillor Mª José Sánchez Garrido, highlighted the importance that society and the authorities have in helping to "dignify the role of women in the labour market and increase training for their work and social independence. "
In particular, care for people affected by Alzheimer's, is a source of invaluable jobs, which will generate numerous professional activities and work which will benefit all those women who participate in courses like this.
The mayor thanked the presence of members of the Asociación de Enfermos de Alzheimer of Alhaurín de la Torre and valued their great work in our municipality, in addition congratulated the six instructors who taught the different modules of the course, as well as the entire staff of the Centro de Formación Jabalcuza which began with my councillor."
