Regular weekly social meetings are held on Thursdays at the Albatross Restaurant in Alhaurin de la Torre (opposite Lauro Golf). Meetings commence at 12 o’clock midday and non-members are most welcome.

The Alhaurin de la Torre Branch of the Royal British Legion were the hosts for the Inter Branch Quiz which was declared by all to be a huge success and a very enjoyable evening with well over 100 members present. The six Branches competing (Benajarafe, Coin, Alhaurin El Grande, Torremolinos, Benalmadena and the host Branch) brought along their enthusiastic supporters and at times the atmosphere was quite tense with the winning team only being assured of their position in the last quarter of the quiz.

Jo Taylor, Chairman of Coin RBL Branch, with her team was delighted to re-gain the Mike Taylor Trophy and paid tribute to the hard work of Jeff Shaw, Chairman of Alhaurin de la Torre RBL, his wife Denise and all the Social Committee Members, plus thanks was extended to the Albatross Restaurant and staff. Bottles of wine were also presented to the Benajarafe Team as winners of the 2nd team.

Forthcoming events:
Garden Party, 30th May, at the home of Brian & Ronna Clark with live entertainment (bring own food and drinks) 8pm until late. Tickets are 10 euros for members and 12 euros for non-members. Please reserve your tickets early as places are limited.
Car Treasure Hunt 22nd June, entry costing 5 euros per adult (all proceeds are to go to the Poppy Fund). The start and finish will be the Albatross Restaurant with the first car leaving at 10.30 am., and there will be a prize for the winners.
