The Fourth Series of Concerts of Chamber Music is devoted to the first half of the twentieth century
Nine concerts over four weekends until May 10th which will provide support for the candidature 'Malaga 2016'
Considered as a classic in the cultural circuit of the Metropolitan Area of Malaga, next weekend sees the start the IV Series of concerts of Chamber Music, which on this occasion is devoted entirely to authors and composers from the first half of the 20th century. The program is organized by the Council of Culture for the Municipality of Alhaurin de la Torre and is sponsored by Unicaja, Malaga newspaper Hoy and the free DNA, the Association of Friends of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Malaga and the commercial firm Harmony. Admission to the concerts is free and are primarily educational. They will be performed at el Centro Cultural Vicente Aleixandre with four participants A total of 16 musicians and two quartets, a trio and a quintet.
The first half of the twentieth century, is considered to be an era that is musically fascinating because of its great diversity and because the composers were influenced by the scientific and cultural revolution of that time, in addition to the influence of periods of the two World Wars.
The participating groups are the Alboran Quartet, a group composed of professors from the OFM, the Amadeo Trio, the youngest group, whose components are being formed through the Foundation Albéniz Madrid, the Quartet Avalonia (already participated in a concert in Alhaurín last fall) and the Aeolus Wind Quintet, with soloists for bassoon, oboe, flute and horn.
