Includes 350,000 euros for the purchase of new fleets for street cleaning and other services, including a lift.
The council of Alhaurin de la Torre, through the Department of operational services, has incorporated the recent acquisition of nine vehicles, which now makes our Mobile Municipal Park in one of the largest in the province, with more than 100 units. The fleet of vehicles belonging to the various departments and areas of the Consistory has been completely revamped over the past four years, after an investment effort by the government team and to the growing demand of the main department who assign these units. The workforce now exceeds 200 employees and these vehicles are needed for the daily maintenance and upkeep of the municipality.
We have acquired a sweeper machine (model Citycat 2020), a garbage truck (brand Iveco Ros Roca Cross), two Renault Kangoo vans, one for street cleaning and one for cleaning public buildings, an Iveco van, and a Haulotte crane lift, b, capable of a maximum height of 18 meters, which will be used for pruning and cleaning palms, mounting exhibitions, structures and awnings, painting and cleaning facades in tall buildings as well as electricity works. This crane will save on the cost of renting platforms that until now had been occurring.
These units were presented at the headquarters of the fleet, by the mayor, Joaquín Villanova who was joined by the councilman of operational services, Juan José González.
