The logistics involved with taking a whole school of students to visit a planetarium here in Spain is tremendous. Transport, disruption to the whole day, security etc.
The wonders of the night sky can be brought direct to you instead with this incredible teaching aid.
The planetarium is 4 meters tall and holds up to 40 people at a time. It is inflated and the students climb inside reclining on the cushioned inside walls.
The Stars and planets are projected onto the inside ceiling of the dome and a tour of the heavens begins.
It comes complete with all audio visual equipment. We are able to display the stars and planets from any point on the earth and at anytime of the year.
The talks can be on any subject ranging from basic constellation finding right through to Astro Physics.
They can also be held in both Spanish and English language.
Night time observation classes can also be run. We have a range of high powered telescopes and using laser beams we are able to point out the stars, planets and constellations.
We can also carry out observations of the sun during the day, safely using H-Alpha filters on the telescopes.
